This is Great for Beardies
Jayne (St.Louis,MO) 11/21/2013 9:10 AM
I bread and raised Beardies for 5 years. Had impaction problems and heard horror stories from Vets and pet owners at Herp shows about sand. This stuff passes through them unless pre-existing conditions already in place. I use paper towels till they are 6 months old and then I feel they are big enough that it will pass through the GI system. Makes for great cleanup and lasts with the least odor as long as cleanup is regular.just scoop and flush.

crushed walnut shells
Matt (Wisconsin) 2/16/2009 4:42 PM
Very nice substrate. I use it for my savannah monitor, leopard geckos and bearded dragons. It last long and is easy to spot clean. Its also safe for the rep to eat. The 50 lb is pretty good priced and fills a 70 gallon 40 gallon and 60 gallon
