The zippered opening can be placed wherever it allows you the most convenient access to your reptile. Units can be placed horizontally or vertically depending on your needs. Several sizes available. Also available (sold separately) are the Reptarium Soft Trays, which are waterproof and puncture resistant linings you add to the base of the Reptarium to hold all types of substrate.

Great Habitat for Your Chameleon! Must Buy!

Wonderful product at such an affordable price. Reptarium can be used vertically or horizontally. Hanging decorations is a breeze and the mesh is awesome for the humidty needed for the reptile(chameleon specifically). I use this for my senegal Chameleon and he just has a blast with the space he's given. This product gets a 5 on simplicity on building. I didn't even need the instructions! That easy! Accessing the chameleon is very easy to do. I recommend buying the soft tray for easier cleaning.
If you don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on expensive cages...which are as good as this! (except this one is a steal), then this is for you!
Must get for a beginner or experienced owner!
