I have them on for 12 hours a day, and they last for at least 6 months, and my turtles love to dock under it.

Great bulb for the price.. it gives off alot of heat! My water dragon seems to like it. Be sure not to get one that is to hot for the cage because the first one i bought heated up the cage to 100 degrees! I have 115w. in a 55 gallon tank
